WE LOVE YOU!

  • ZFP’s mission is to combat climate change by rallying the food industry in support of regenerative agriculture. Through donations across the food system, ZFP funds farm projects that draw carbon straight from the atmosphere and store it underground, resulting in better food and a restored climate.

  • The cornerstone of the Gallatin School is its individualized approach to education. With the support and guidance of faculty advisers, students design unique courses of study, exploring multiple disciplines or various perspectives on specific areas of study not available in traditional departments.

  • NYU’s Office of Sustainability leads the University-wide effort to build a healthier and more sustainable future.

They work towards reducing our carbon emissions 50% from our baseline by 2025, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

They engage community through trainings, student opportunities, and resources.

  • SLM Partners acquires rural land to implement regenerative, ecological management systems that are commercially viable and environmentally beneficial. We target financial returns that are commensurate with market expectations for real assets. These returns come from a combination of operational income and capital appreciation. We partner with local farmers and foresters or build the local teams needed to manage land and to gain the benefits from improved operational performance. Our clients are sophisticated investors such as pension funds, insurance companies and family offices. We believe in long-term investing (10+ years) and creating structures and management agreements where interests are aligned.

  • The Department of Environmental Studies aims to provide students with the breadth of understanding and the skills necessary for resolving environment.

WHY DID WE HOST REGENERATIVE NYC?

In the past year, we’ve had over 200 conversations with folks in regenerative agriculture, including founders, farmers, and funders. It was constantly brought up that regenerative agriculture needs capital and community. As you might know, New York City has no shortage of either.

We intend to bring this rural conversation to an urban space, fostering discussions around resilient, regenerative food systems. The transition of the food system will require intense collaboration between farmers, investors, policymakers, consumers, scientists, and all stakeholders to flourish. We are here to facilitate these conversations, amplify the voices of key leaders in regenerative agriculture, and help scientific evidence inform our approach to agriculture.
